Notre-Dame restored but six historic windows to be replaced with new contemporary design
France has successfully restored most of what burned at Notre-Dame cathedral in the 2019 fire. However, six towering windows will soon be replaced with a new contemporary design — a decision that has proved contentious among historians and heritage advocates. The rest of the cathedral has been faithfully renovated.
