Etna active for seventh day — tourists flock to volcano as Catania airport stays paralysed

Mount Etna has been erupting for a seventh consecutive day, continuing to paralyse Catania airport and strand thousands of travellers. Despite the disruption, many tourists are deliberately heading towards the volcano to view the flowing lava up close. Authorities have warned that Etna is not a viewing terrace and urged people to stay away.
