US CENTCOM launches multinational combat drone task force in the Middle East

US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the creation of a multinational combat drone task force called Task Force Falcon Strike, to operate in the Middle East. The unit will deploy aerial, surface and underwater unmanned combat vehicles. The move reflects the growing role of drone warfare in the region.
