Nearly one million Ukrainians hold temporary protection status in Poland

More than 950,000 Ukrainian citizens are registered in the Polish PESEL system with UKR status, granting them temporary protection in Poland, according to data from the Ministry of Digitalisation. So far this year, 47,000 people have been granted the status. Poland hosts one of the largest temporary protection programmes in Europe.
