PM Tusk declares 14 August 2026 a day off for state administration employees

Prime Minister Donald Tusk has declared 14 August 2026 a day off for employees of the Polish state civil service and public administration. Combined with the statutory public holiday on 15 August (Assumption of Mary), civil servants will enjoy a three-day long weekend without having to use annual leave. The decision applies only to public sector employees.
