Israel deploys troops against settlers besieging Palestinians as US envoy calls it 'act of terror'

Israeli forces moved Thursday against rogue settlers who had been laying siege to Palestinian communities in the West Bank. The US ambassador issued unusually strong criticism, calling the siege an "act of terror." At the same time, Israel inaugurated a new settlement elsewhere in the West Bank.
