Bucsa beats Udvardy after 161 days without a win – faces Chwalińska in Cincinnati

Cristina Bucsa defeated Panna Udvardy 6:2, 1:6, 7:5 in the first round of the WTA 1000 event in Cincinnati, with the match finishing after midnight on Friday. It was Bucsa's first win in 161 days. She will now face Polish player Maja Chwalińska, this year's Roland Garros finalist, in the second round.
