Polish navy expands: hull of first frigate ORP Wicher touches Baltic waters

The hull of ORP Wicher, the first frigate of Poland's "Miecznik" programme, touched the Baltic Sea on Thursday. In June, a contract for the construction of submarines was also signed. Polish shipyards are currently building more warships than at any point since the 1990s, reflecting a rapid expansion of the Polish Navy.
