Vietnam seizes over a tonne of ivory illegally shipped from Africa

Vietnamese authorities discovered more than a tonne of ivory illegally shipped from Africa. Trade in ivory from elephants and other endangered species is banned under the CITES international treaty, to which almost all UN member countries are parties.
