Experts slam return of fuel subsidy scheme: "Helicopter money"

Economists Kazimierz Krupa and Maciej Samcik criticised the revival of Poland's fuel price subsidy programme (CPN) on TVN's "Fakty po Faktach". Krupa questioned why pensioners should subsidise petrol for drivers, calling it "helicopter money". Samcik argued that any government support should target the transport-disadvantaged and haulage firms rather than all drivers.
