Trump orders MMR vaccine replaced with separate shots — experts warn of confusion and risk
President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Monday calling for the combined MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) vaccine to be replaced with separate shots administered at different medical visits. The directive cannot currently be implemented because no stand-alone vaccines for those diseases are licensed in the United States. Experts warn the order will create widespread confusion in childhood vaccination programmes.
