Russian shadow-fleet tanker spills oil across 1,300 sq km of Arabian Sea, reaching Oman
Greenpeace reported that an oil spill from a damaged Russian shadow-fleet tanker in the Arabian Sea now covers approximately 1,300 square kilometres and has reached the coast of Oman. The Omani government has not yet confirmed the scale of the contamination as reported by Greenpeace. CNN describes the environmental disaster as serious in scope.
