Equinor warns of dramatic European gas shortage — storage at 57% ahead of winter

Equinor director Irene Rummelhoff warned at the Arendalsuka political-economic forum that Europe's gas situation is "dramatic". At the start of August, European gas storage was at just 57% capacity — the lowest level at this time of year since 2009. The continent faces a serious challenge in securing sufficient gas reserves before the coming winter.
