Hawaii will ban cash deposits at cryptocurrency ATMs starting in October, targeting a method commonly exploited by scammers. The machines will still be able to sell crypto for dollars or swap one cryptocurrency for another. Lawmakers specifically limited only the cash-in function used in fraud schemes.
