Tusk: Polish services foiled Russian assassination plot in Warsaw in early August

Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced on Thursday that Polish security services detained a Russian national in early August who had been designated to carry out an assassination in Warsaw. Tusk revealed that the intended target has been identified. He said the operation prevented what could have been a tragedy in the Polish capital.
