Ken Russell's The Devils gets uncensored 4K release with NC-17 rating after 55 years

Warner Bros. is releasing a new 4K restoration of Ken Russell's 1971 historical horror-drama The Devils in cinemas this October, carrying an NC-17 rating. The film will be shown uncensored and uncut for the first time in a wide release, 55 years after its original premiere. The graphic portrayal of violence and sex had previously led to heavily censored versions of the film.
