WNBA condemns 'bad-faith' attempts to fuel transgender player debate

The WNBA issued a statement condemning "bad-faith efforts" to demean or marginalise others through the debate over transgender women playing in the league. The league stressed that there are currently no eligibility matters concerning transgender athletes affecting the WNBA. The players' union announced that players will not be used as "political pawns".
