Ford's $28,000 Fathom EV to enter production in Q1 2027 after $2bn factory overhaul

Ford announced its upcoming $28,000 electric vehicle, dubbed Fathom, will begin production at the overhauled Louisville Assembly Plant in the first quarter of 2027. The factory underwent a $2 billion conversion. Initial Fathoms will be prototypes, with the Louisville team already in the production-level pre-tooling phase.
