Poland arrests Russian over plot to kill Ukrainian-American in Warsaw

Polish police arrested a 29-year-old Russian national on 7 August on Wołoska Street in Warsaw, accused of planning to assassinate a Ukrainian-American dual citizen on behalf of Russia. Prime Minister Donald Tusk said this is the first known case of Russia ordering an attack on a US citizen on NATO soil. The suspect has been remanded in custody for three months.
