Bronze Age elite rings in Greece were made from meteorite iron
Researchers analysed 91 iron objects — mainly rings and bracelets — dating back 3,800 to 3,000 years and found that Minoan and Mycenaean elites crafted jewellery from meteoritic iron. At the time, meteorite metal was the rarest and hardest material available, used as a symbol of power, much like the famous dagger found in Tutankhamun's tomb.
