Millions of Poles rush to check their data after MyDr breach, overwhelming verification portal

Following the revelation of a massive data breach at medical firm MyDr — affecting nearly 19 million Poles — huge numbers of citizens have flooded the Bezpieczne Dane verification portal to check if their records were stolen. Many are also attempting to freeze their PESEL national identification numbers. The incident is considered one of the largest medical data leaks in European history.
