European gas prices dip but a tough winter looms

On Thursday 13 August, benchmark Dutch TTF gas futures on the Amsterdam ICE Endex exchange fell 0.9% to around €60.45 per MWh. Earlier in the week prices had surged by about 8%. Analysts cited by Reuters warn that the coming winter could still prove difficult despite the brief price dip.
