US revokes over 600 visas in crackdown on birth tourism

The US State Department has set up a dedicated team to combat birth tourism — the practice of foreign nationals travelling to the US so their children are born with American citizenship. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said more than 600 visas have been revoked within a single month. Authorities are targeting the networks that organise such trips.
