"Eclipse of the century" in 2027 — best seen from Spain and North Africa

A total solar eclipse dubbed the "eclipse of the century" is set for 2027. The best viewing conditions in Europe will be in southern Spain near the Strait of Gibraltar, where totality will last around 3 minutes. The Moon's shadow will travel across North Africa, Egypt and the Red Sea to the Horn of Africa, with Egypt experiencing totality for around 6 minutes.
