Mentzen's firm loses at Supreme Administrative Court: golden Morawiecki statue not tax-deductible

Poland's Supreme Administrative Court (NSA) has ruled that the company of tax adviser and politician Sławomir Mentzen cannot deduct the cost of creating a golden statue of Mateusz Morawiecki as a business expense. Mentzen had previously boasted online about finding a legal loophole allowing the purchase to be treated as a company cost. The court rejected that interpretation.
