Lockheed Martin invests in modular hypersonic platform for both strike and defence

Lockheed Martin is investing millions in its MPDS modular hypersonic platform, designed to carry multiple payloads and fulfil missions ranging from long-range strikes to missile defence. The system is intended to speed up hypersonic weapons development, cut costs and enable large-scale production. A single shared platform would replace several separate development programmes.
