Poles returning after years abroad say Poland is unrecognisable: "It's not the same country"
Poles who emigrated shortly after Poland joined the EU and are now returning in their late twenties find a country transformed beyond recognition, according to political scientist Dr Dominika Pszczółkowska of the University of Warsaw's Centre for Migration Research. Economic, social and infrastructure changes have been so profound that returning home can feel like a culture shock.
