Record tax burden: private sector works 229 days to fund public spending

According to the Mises Institute's report, Poland's Private Sector Freedom Day falls on 18 August this year — the latest date ever recorded in the study's history. The symbolic indicator means the private sector works 229 days of the year solely to cover public expenditure. It reflects a growing fiscal burden on the Polish economy.
