New PIU chief: car liability insurance is loss-making, premiums must rise

Adam Uszpolewicz, the new head of the Polish Insurance Chamber (PIU), warns that motor third-party liability insurance is generating losses due to a price war among insurers, making premium increases inevitable. The overall Polish insurance market is growing nearly twice as fast as the economy, but low market penetration remains a challenge. Uszpolewicz argues that higher OC premiums are necessary for sector stability.
