Trump sued over selling Truth Social API access for $100K a month to trading firms
Nonprofit news organisations have sued President Trump over Truth Social's "Truth API," which charges customers up to $100,000 a month for real-time access to Trump's posts. The first buyers are mostly high-frequency trading firms that can profit by receiving market-moving government information milliseconds before others. The lawsuit calls the scheme "profoundly corrupt," arguing Trump is personally profiting from selling preferential access to official government news.
