US Army opens test ranges to private companies, including drone and counter-drone sites

The US Army is opening five military test ranges to private industry — four in the US and one in Morocco — including a Michigan site where companies can test drones and counter-drone systems against electronic warfare conditions modelled on Ukraine. Firms will be able to request access without an existing government partnership. The initiative aims to speed up development of drones, counter-drone systems, long-range fires and low-cost interceptors.
