Vaping and cannabis use among young US adults hit record highs

The annual Monitoring the Future survey by the University of Michigan found that 19% of young US adults used nicotine vapes in the past 30 days — more than tripling since 2017 and the highest level ever recorded. Cannabis use was reported by 29% of 19–30 year-olds in the past month, with a record 12% using it daily. The NIH-supported survey covers around 20,000 Americans aged 19 to 65.
