Less than two weeks into its theatrical run, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has broken into an elite all‑time worldwide box‑office list. In doing so, the movie has overtaken virtually every Marvel Cinematic Universe movie ever made. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton , Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the fourth solo Spider-Man feature to be headlined by Tom Holland , who made his debut as the fan-favorite superhero with Captain America: Civil War a decade ago. Since then, he has headlined a trilogy of blockbuster solo Spider-Man movies directed by Jon Watts and has played important supporting roles in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame . To call him the MVP of the MCU, especially as the franchise stands right now, wouldn't be a stretch.
