Polish ombudsman investigates arrest of 60-year-old farmer who ploughed up new road

The regional representative of Poland's Ombudsman (RPO) in Katowice has launched an ex-officio investigation into the pre-trial detention of a 60-year-old farmer from Gliwice-Ostropa. The man destroyed freshly laid asphalt with a tractor. The RPO is checking whether the arrest violated the farmer's fundamental rights and freedoms.
