Giant stratospheric balloon captures new data on the Milky Way's centre

An airborne camera carried by a giant balloon gathered new data on high-energy particles emanating from the core of the Milky Way, according to research published in Nature. The balloon-borne observation provided a new view of the galactic centre that is difficult to obtain from the ground.
