Eurovision bans hosts involved in armed conflict or sensitive geopolitical situations

Eurovision Song Contest organisers have updated their rules to bar winning broadcasters from hosting the event if their country is involved in an armed conflict or a "sensitive geopolitical situation" that could jeopardise the safety of the competition. The rule change was announced without reference to any specific country. It applies to future editions of the contest.
