PiS wants Poland out of EU carbon market — expert warns of climate tariffs

Przemysław Czarnek and PiS are calling for Poland to leave the EU's Emissions Trading System (ETS). Michał Hetmański of the Instrat Foundation warns this would expose Polish exports to EU "climate tariffs" similar to those applied to non-EU countries. Remaining in the ETS, he argues, is cheaper than leaving it.
