Norway's oil fund hits record $2.28 trillion in value after earning $176bn in six months
Norway's Government Pension Fund Global (GPFG), the world's largest sovereign wealth fund, reached a record value of $2.28 trillion at the end of June. The fund earned more than $176 billion in the first half of the year. Manager Nicolai Tangen cautioned that "fortunes always eventually disappear," tempering expectations amid the record results.
