WestJet to pay C$4.5m to settle flight attendants' sexual harassment lawsuit

Canadian airline WestJet has agreed to pay C$4.5 million (approximately £2.4 million) to settle a decade-long class action lawsuit brought by female flight attendants alleging sexual harassment and an unsafe workplace. The case originated with former flight attendant Mandalena Lewis, who alleged that a pilot had sexually assaulted her and a colleague. Lewis claimed WestJet kept the pilot flying after the allegations were reported, putting other employees at risk.
