Officers charged over baby Wojtuś death still on duty — no grounds for suspension, police say

Four police officers from Świebodzin have been charged with failure to perform their duties in connection with the 2024 death of seven-month-old Wojtuś, who was killed by his father. Prosecutors say the officers did not initiate the Blue Card domestic violence procedure despite signs of abuse. The Lubusz regional police confirmed the officers remain on active duty, citing no grounds for suspension.
