Crypto market-making firm Wintermute plans to invest $1 billion in AI infrastructure and high-frequency trading as part of its expansion into traditional finance, according to reports. The move represents one of the largest capital commitments by a crypto-native firm toward mainstream financial markets. Wintermute is known as one of the largest liquidity providers in the crypto space.
