Disciplinary proceedings launched against prosecutor who released drunk driver from A1 motorway

The district prosecutor in Częstochowa has referred a complaint to launch disciplinary proceedings against a prosecutor who failed to detain a drunk repeat offender caught driving on the A1 motorway, Rzeczpospolita reports. The man was driving an Audi despite holding two driving bans. The case sparked outrage after it emerged he was released without being remanded in custody.
