ORP Wicher launched — Poland's first Miecznik-programme frigate hits the water

Poland has launched ORP Wicher, the first of three frigates being built under the Miecznik programme, in a ceremony marking a historic moment for the Polish Navy. Once completed, these will be the largest warships ever to serve in Poland's fleet. The vessel is not yet finished, but the launch is considered the most significant event for the Polish Navy in decades.
