Zabawska reaches European Championship discus final — Poland's 16-year wait ends

Daria Zabawska secured her place in the European Championship discus final in Birmingham with a throw of 59.37 m on her last attempt. It is the first time in 16 years that a Polish woman has reached the final of this event at the European Championships. Weronika Muszyńska failed to qualify for the final.
