Poland's NFZ receives 36 applications to close or repurpose hospital wards

Poland's National Health Fund (NFZ) has received 36 applications from hospitals seeking to close or repurpose their wards. Facilities that close a ward will receive 50% of their previous lump-sum funding for two years as a transition measure. The restructuring is aimed at improving hospitals' financial health and aligning their services with actual patient needs.
