Zhu Rongji, architect of China's economic rise, dies aged 97

Zhu Rongji, former Premier of China, who steered the country through landmark economic reforms and negotiated China's entry into the World Trade Organisation, has died aged 97. His policies were instrumental in transforming China into a global trading powerhouse. Zhu served as Premier during the 1990s and early 2000s.
