NATO builds digital shield in the east — drones and AI to detect Russian attacks

NATO is planning a dense network of sensors, drones, satellites and artificial intelligence systems along its eastern flank to detect and help repel Russian attacks. However, final decisions on targeting will remain in human hands. The system is intended to form the backbone of the alliance's defence against potential aggression.
