Oil from Russian shadow-fleet tanker reaches Oman's coastline

Oil from the tanker Caroline Bezengi, part of Russia's so-called shadow fleet, has reached the coast of Oman, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) — a UN agency — reported on 12 August. The spill is another instance of maritime pollution linked to the unregulated fleet of tankers used to circumvent Western sanctions.
