ORP Wicher christened, but Polish Navy ages faster than it renews its fleet
Reserve commander Krzysztof Ligęza warns that despite the christening of the new vessel ORP Wicher, the backbone of the Polish Navy still consists of ageing ships from the 1980s. He says the navy's combat capabilities will shrink before new ships enter service. In his assessment, the threat in the Baltic Sea is constant and growing as Poland's defensive capacity declines.
