Zoom bug allowed silent device takeover on Android and iOS — now patched
Researchers discovered a critical flaw in Zoom's annotation feature that could let a malicious call participant silently take over another user's device with no interaction required. The vulnerability affected Zoom clients on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android, and was found using publicly available AI models in fewer than 20 prompts. Zoom has released a patch, and users are urged to update the app immediately.
